Too many toes test
7 of 9 [ View / Edit ]Too many toes test (in-toe, normal, out-toe)
Method
This test is done with the customer sitting with the foot suspended.
- Ask the customer to stand in a relaxed position, with their arms by their sides and looking straight ahead.
- Their weight should be equally distributed over both feet. Ensure that they don’t swivel to try and see what is happening behind them as this will affect the foot posture.
- Kneel down a couple of meters directly behind the person in-line with the long axis of one heel.
- Look at the heel. Can you see any toes on either side of the foot?
- If you see toes on the inside of the foot, record how many toes you see.
- If you see more than two (2) toes on the outside of the foot, record how many toes you see in the relevant field on the website.
- If the foot is balanced or you can’t see any toes, enter zero (0) in the relevant field on the website.
- Repeat for the other foot
